       1. Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary:

The Stann Creek District is home to the world’s first Jaguar Preserve, “Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.” This terrain of preserved forest is part of the Maya Mountain Massif and provides magnificent views, as well as waterfalls, medicinal trails, birding and rivers for you to enjoy. It is a perfect way to start your day!

       2. Billy Barquedier National Park:

Head into the lush jungles of Billy Barquedier National Park (Stann Creek District) where spectacular waterfall and fresh-water natural attractions are only part of the excitement! You can also take a hike to discover the medicinal plants and trees in the region!

       3. Lubaantun Archaeological Site:

Visit the Maya ceremonial center of Lubaantun, located in the Toledo District. Make sure to book a tour with an experienced guide in the area for optimal ancient Maya insight!

       4. Nim Li Punit:

Explore this archaeological site located within the Toledo District, a mere 25 miles north of Punta Gorda, and form a new connection to Belize’s ancient Maya civilization.

       5. Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve:

Known for having the most spectacular coral formations throughout Belize’s Great Barrier Reef, Gladden Spit is a diver’s paradise! Here you can see numerous endangered species such as the Loggerhead Turtle, Nassau Grouper, Fire Corals and more. This is also the seasonal filter-feeding area for the gentle giants, Whale Sharks!
