Lebeha Drumming Center
Learn to play drums like the Garifuna at the Lebeha Drumming Center. The drums are made by a famous drum maker in Dangriga, Austin Rodriquez, and are primarily made from mahogany or mayflower wood with deerskin on the drumhead. Not a drummer? You can play other instruments, like the shakas (maracas), which are calabash gourds filled with fruit seeds, or keep the beat on a turtle shell. Feel free to dance to the beat and have a great time.
