Scarlet Macaw Tour at Red Bank Village
Situated at the foothills of the Maya Mountain in the Stann Creek District, Red Bank Village beckons birding enthusiasts to witness one of Central America’s most spectacular natural phenomena: the gathering of scarlet macaws. From December to March, these brilliantly hued birds flock in the village to feast on the fruits of annatto and pole wood trees. Red Bank’s mountainous terrain provides an ideal feeding ground for macaws during their non-breeding season, offering visitors a prime opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. Hike through Red Bank Village with your binoculars and camera to view the scarlet macaws soaring in pairs or small groups.
