Benefits for Mexicans on Exit Fees

All Mexicans can benefit from reductions in departure fees promoted by the Government of Belize. These exemptions are organized by region of residence and/or length of stay. Check the rules:

  • Residents of Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo: are exempt from all charges related to departure fees, regardless of the length of your stay.
  • Residents of Campeche, Yucatán, Tabasco, Chiapas, and Quintana Roo (except Othón P. Blanco): They do not pay any fee if their stay is less than 7 days. If the stay is longer, they must pay BZ $40 (approximately $405 MXN).
  • Mexicans from other regions:  If the visit is less than 2 days, they only pay a minimum fee of BZ $2.50 (approximately $25 MXN). For longer stays, you must pay BZ $40 (approximately $405 MXN).

For visits exceeding the aforementioned periods, full rates apply, which include the Departure Processing Fee (BZ $30.00), the Border Development Fee (BZ $2.50) and the PACT Conservation Fee (BZ $7.50).
