The Belize National Celebrations start with the Eve of Emancipation Day Ceremony. Then, we celebrate Emancipation Day on August 1st. This includes an official ceremony and the Eboe Town Festival.

As August arrives, the excitement for Belize National Celebrations grows. Many organizers have scheduled pageants, competitions, and concerts. Don’t forget your essentials for Belize Celebration festivities!

When you visit Belize, be sure to see the exciting Miss Carnival Pageant and the National Queen of the Bay Pageant. Music lovers will enjoy the Sir Barry Bowen Belikin Bash. The Carnival King & Queen Competition brings color and energy. It ends August on a high note!

September Celebrations

September 1 is National Flag Day. When planning a trip to Belize, we have the Flag Raising Ceremonies that take place across the country. People raise the bright red, blue, and white flag at important monuments in each town. It signals the beginning of a month packed with events for the final countdown to Independence Day!
